Tres Tipos Gráficos is a Madrid-based design studio founded by Alberto Salván and Nicolás Reyners. Originally focused on cultural projects, we export our knowledge working with artists, curators, architects and designers to projects related to Branding, Product Design, Visual Communication and Retail.

We craft unique projects through solid concepts and contemporary aesthetics. We find new approaches in order to challenge design codes and to explore new visual languages.

Our work has been recognized with awards such as Gràffica - Best Design and Visual Culture 2015, D&AD Award wood pencil (London) 2015, several ADG Laus between 2010 and 2019, Top Fedrigoni Award (Parma) 2013, a Type Directors Club (New York) 2012 distinction, and a PHotoEspaña award to the Best Photobook 2012, among others.

Both partners have a longtime career as teachers in IED Madrid in Branding, Visual Identity and Master Course direction. They also collaborate as lecturers and workshops with Universidad Europea de Madrid, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Espositivo Academy, Mr Marcel School, Esdesign Barcelona and Blank Paper among others.

Orbea introduces a new brand that reinforces their values associated with product development: technology, efficiency and reliability alongside creativity, proximity and commitment to users.

The company’s long history has left its marks on the corporate image, which has evolved in response to new markets. Every logo illustrates a stage in company development, as well as the values associated with that particular moment in the history of Orbea.

Orbea was established in 1840 as a family business manufacturing guns. In the 1930s, the company changed direction and embarked on the design and manufacture of bicycles. This led to the development of the current global brand.

Orbea may be a large company, but it supports enterprising people and makes sure that each one finds the means for personal development and participation in the project. The company holds the firm conviction that people are an essential part of the project. We reflected this idea of “first the people, then the company” on the business cards.

A global brand like Orbea represents a challenge in terms of organizing its communications elements. This made it necessary to create a solid, yet flexible system, that could organically respond to the brands communications needs; from advertising support mediums to product communication, editorial demands and spaces.
