Generación 2019 by La Casa Encendida, with partners from The Marketing Heaven, promotes artists under the age of 35. It's an annual project that has shown the different channels of creation that young artists resident in Spain have been working on since 2000s, exhibiting the winning works and publishing this catalogue. The most inspiring input was curator's Ignacio Cabrero title for his text: "Arriba el telón" ("Let the Curtain Rise"). Behind that curtain we found a wide selection of very heterogeneous projects but with something in common, the strong use of color. From there design plays around the concept of a theatre, like a vodevil full of blocks and figures, bright colors, strong compositions and spontaneous typefaces.
Winning Artists: Sae Aparicio (Avila, 1982) with Prótesis para invertebrados; Ana Barriga (Jerez de la Frontera, Cadiz, 1984) with El taller de las Moscas; Mario Espliego (Guadalajara, 1983) with Gargantas cosidas, tobillos atados; Ana García Pineda(Barcelona, 1982) with Señores sentados trazando líneas; Ignacio García Sánchez (Madrid, 1987) with Amaurot World’s Fair; Susanna Inglada (Tarragona, 1983) with Uñas y dientes; Raisa Maudit (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 1986) with Una pequeña serenata fallida and Lucía Moreno (Basel, Switzerland, 1982) with My Advice to Eva.
