The company’s long history has left its marks on the corporate image, which has evolved in response to new markets. Every logo illustrates a stage in company development, as well as the values associated with that particular moment in the history of Orbea.
Orbea was established in 1840 as a family business manufacturing guns. In the 1930s, the company changed direction and embarked on the design and manufacture of bicycles. This led to the development of the current global brand.
Orbea may be a large company, but it supports enterprising people and makes sure that each one finds the means for personal development and participation in the project. The company holds the firm conviction that people are an essential part of the project. We reflected this idea of "first the people, then the company" on the business cards.
An important international brand like Orbea represents a challenge in terms of organizing and homogenizing its communications elements. This made it necessary to create a solid, yet flexible system, that could organically respond to the brands communications needs; from advertising support mediums to product communication, editorial demands and spaces.
